I designed the rod with the one of the best quality components available today:
- Ultra Light flexible RECOIL titanium snake guides - practically indestructible;
- Light Titanium stripper Guide;
- TiCh tip top;
wrapped with green silk thread and and finished with two coats FlexCoat;
- Flor grade cork, custom turned handle;
- Matching hook keeper and aluminum knurled winding check;
- Titanium color reel seat hardware, to match the guides (the reel seat only weights 36 grams);
- Stacked bamboo insert finished with Gunstock Tru-Oil.

The rod weight is 115grams or 4oz, not bad for that length, hmm.... and is very well balanced.
I decided to install heavier reel seat hardware in order to be easier to balance the rod with lighter reel.
The rod has moderate-fast action with softer tip section and stronger but. With its extra length, for better line control, this is perfect rod for short-line or European style nymphing techniques. When assembled with reel it feels light in hand and could be your arm extension for all the day. Despite of the length and the softer tip I could say the rod is still sensitive, detecting every bump, stone or delicate trout bite, you just have to get used to "listen" to him. And yes, the rod action is made protect the finest tippets and has enough backbone to fight trophy fishes, and on 3wt it would be a thrill.
